Behind the Scenes at Ian Williams Racing & Worcester Races
Monday 12th October
Morning – Ian Williams Racing, Alvechurch
Our day begins with a visit to Ian Williams Racing, one of Britain’s most successful and well-travelled training yards, based at the impressive Dominion Racing Stables in Worcestershire.
Ian is known as Britain’s most travelled trainer — having achieved the remarkable feat of training a winner at every racecourse in Great Britain. With over 1,000 winners on both the Flat and over Jumps, his horses have enjoyed success at Royal Ascot, the Cheltenham Festival and even internationally.
During our visit, we’ll gain a fascinating insight into life at a busy professional racing yard. We’ll see the superb 220-acre facilities — including the specialist equine swimming pool — and learn what it really takes to train racehorses at the highest level.

After our morning visit, we’ll make our way to Worcester Racecourse for an afternoon of Jump Racing.
