Bewdley & National Trust Dudmaston Hall, Shropshire

On arrival to the historic Georgian town of Bewdley, we will have free time to explore the riverside walks, historic streets, independent shops and attractions including Bewdley Museum. This will be our coffee and lunch time visit.


This afternoon we will visit Dudmaston Hall, a 17th-century country mansion and a "lived-in" family home situated in the Severn Valley and managed by National Trust


The Hall: Built around 1695 for Sir Thomas Wolryche, the house features a 9-bay sandstone facade and an H-plan layout. Highlights of the interior include a Regency staircase, a sunlit library, and 18th-century panelling.


Art Galleries: The estate houses one of Britain’s most significant private collections of modern art, including works by Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, and Matisse. It also features specialized collections of Spanish art, botanical paintings, and a "Fanology" exhibition of historic fans.


The Gardens & Grounds: The property includes a terraced garden overlooking "Big Pool," a large man-made lake. Visitors can explore the American Garden, which is known for its spring blossoms and rhododendrons.


Timings: Leave Ross 7:30am, Hereford 8:15am, Leominster 9:00am, 

Depart and to Leominster 6:00pm, Hereford 6:30pm and Ross 7:00pm.
