Gretna Hall, Scotland for 1 night

Built as a manor house in 1710, and later that century converted to a coaching inn it became a haven for aristocratic runaways desperate to take advantage of Scotland's lenient marriage laws.

This majestic manor building, over 300 years old, sits up high overlooking the village of Gretna Green: a modern hotel with a historic twist. The hotel has spacious well-maintained grounds to enjoy, with benches to sit out and take in the views over the Solway Firth to the Cumbrian Fells.

Dunadry House Hotel, Belfast

The 4 star Dunadry House Hotel was bought by the McKeever family in 2017 who invested heavily to relaunch the hotel in 2019, making it the excellent standard that it offers throughout.

The hotel is 10 miles from the centre of Belfast and around an hour from the Giant's Causeway, making it a super base to explore the region.

The 72 bedrooms are all twins or doubles very spacious and well presented in a modern style with plenty of storage, each having a touch of individuality.
